Two updates in one week, it's astounding. More news to come soon as well
Transistor Transistor is for Lovers The "Young Vampires of New Hampshire" 7" is out. Two songs to tide you over until RUINED LIVES comes out in May. You can pick up the 7" HERE and HERE as well. Hopefully your local record store has it and you can pick it up from them. For all you vinyl junkies LEVEL PLANE has copies available on Red and White vinyl in addition to black. We're going to be playing some shows soon as well, probably nothing too far out of New England, but we'll see what happens. 01.28.08 New Year, New Record, New Bile Our new record is done. We have managed to condense three years into 40 minutes of vitriol and noise. It is called RUINED LIVES it is about just such things. It will be released via Level Plane Records in May on CD and LP, and probably some downloadable format too, like any of you are actually going to pay to download it. The "Young Vampires of New Hampshire/White Knives" 7" should be out very soon. We appreciate your patience.
Daylight Savings is a Scam A big thanks to everyone who came out to she show on Halloween, it was an awesome show with awesome bands, what more can you ask for? Four assholes in various batman related costumes? Well, it had that too. We don't have any other shows planned at the moment but we have booked studio time in January to record our next full length, so we'll be spending the next two months tuning our guitars to really nail that "in-tune" guitar sound. The "Young Vampires of New Hampshire / White Knives" 7" should be out soonish, we approved the test pressings a little while ago and everything is in motion. In case you were wondering that gross fucking picture is the cover.
Bloodsuckers All A new two song 7" is getting ready to rear its ugly head in the coming months. After an awesome show with Bloodhorse, Doomriders and Disfear, we committed two new songs to tape for all of infinity. The songs are titled "Young Vampires of New Hampshire" and "White Knives." Level Plane is the lucky label who will be brining you this fine release. We were lucky to have Tomas from Disfear contribute vocals to "White Knives." The 7" should be out by late October, so you won't have to hold your breath for that long. 08.08.07 Nervous Breakdown A lot has been going on lately, not all of it good or band related necessarily, but all of it interesting none the less. Yesterday while transporting a vespa one of our van's rear side windows was smashed from the inside by a speaker cabinet. While cleaning out the broken glass, which went mostly inside the van, we discovered that some hornets had built a nest in the van as well. The hornet situation was relatively easy to resolve but getting this window replaced has been far more laborious and expensive than we could have imagined, but if all goes well we'll have a brand new window to break by tomorrow. This is good because we'll be using the van, in all it's new window having glory to transport drums to be tracked for the 7" we are about to record. That's right, we are finally recording and releasing new material. It is just a 7" but there's a full album laying in wait behind it. The plan is to have the 7" released for the east coast tour we are planning down to the The Fest 6 in Gainesville, FL. Soon after we wrap up recording and mixing the 7" (we'll be heading back to Godcity) our drummer James will do the unthinkable... get married! He has officially secured himself as the least sketchy member of the band and will be getting hitched on the 20th of August. Come out to the show on Sunday the 12th at Great Scott with Bloodhorse, Doomriders and Disfear, and shout "prenup!" between songs.
Upcoming Shows The shows with Coliseum are this Thursday, the 19th, and Friday, the 20th. All the info for the shows can be found on our myspace page, or our website. The show in Providence has been moved to a new venue. The show is now happening at The Grow Room, 29 Okie St. Providence. Doors are still at 8pm and all the same ripping bands are playing. The show in Cambridge is as it was and will be awesome. See you there.
Good News and Good News The good news is, we'll be playing two shows with Coliseum and Engineer next month. Check the shows page for more info on those. We'll be hitting Boston on July 19th and Providence on July 20th. The other good news is that we'll be playing with Doomriders and Disfear in August. Again, check the shows page for more info. These shows are going to be sick, see you then.
Good News and Bad News Sorry for the very long delay, our web host has switched to a new user-friendly file manager and html editor that is nearly impossible to use. Okay, the good news first. We'll be playing some shows with Coliseum in July and we'll be playing the Fest 6 in Gainesville, FL this October. We'll be doing a little tour down the east coast to the fest and back, if you know of a killer place to play feel free to get in touch, email transistor(at)level-plane.com. The bad news is that we all have short hair and full time jobs. Info on the shows coming shortly.
